Kristine Co and Christopher Gracia were at last tying the knot on a long-distance romance, making their plans for a dream wedding between their respective homes in Wisconsin and Colorado. As its stage they chose the Seamen’s Church Institute at historic South Street Seaport in New York City – a tourist hotspot known for its dramatic view of the city.
For Kris, a Filipino, and Chris, a Puerto Rican, their wedding feast promised to bring together and reflect their disparate backgrounds. With Saffron 59, this promise came to magnificent fruition, with a main course featuring Lechon-Roast Crisp Baby Suckling Pork and Seafood Paella as well as salsa music and traditional Filipino desserts like Halo Halo Floats with Ube Ice Cream to end the night.
