The Wongs wanted to get married before the Year of the Rooster began on March 12 because the Year of the Horse, which was ending, was a more auspicious start for marriage. According to tradition, children born during the Year of the Horse are cheerful, skillful with money, and very perceptive, as well as wise and full of talents.
Their wedding reception was planned to be perfect. Along with the beautiful bride and handsome groom came amazing details: table cloth, silverware, fresh tropical cympidium orchids and cherry blossom branches by Saffron 59’s florist, as well as special presentations of each dish. There was also a sushi bar, Southeast Asian hors d’oeuvres, and tarts, all mouthwatering and in abundance.
