New York City is home to some spectacular sites for holding weddings. For Pauline and Boone’s June wedding we turned the second floor of The Carriage House into a Manhattan lounge club.
We created an elegant look for the wedding party by decorating the room’s banquettes with lots of silk cushions and covering the cocktail tables with shimmering, Shuntung silk from Thailand. Subtle details such as transparent Madras Muslim hung on the walls, windows and at the French doors leading to the candle-lit roof garden added to the atmosphere.
Small bowls of Moroccan-spiced nuts, crystallized fruit and Turkish delights were scattered throughout. The ample supply of Veuve Clicquot champagne was a hit with this young, well-dressed crowd.
